Youngsters becoming bored of Facebook?

804722812Sad, but true…

Yes Facebook is becoming a thing of the past for many young people, not a lot “jumping ” on after they turn 13. Young people these days are wanting something new, something fresh, something clean. No the “New” Myspace is not included in that.

I remember turning 13 but not getting Facebook for a while, until I saw other friends and relatives getting it. I’m 17 now and very active on not only Facebook but other social networks too! I was not introduced to Facebook until someone had told me about it. Today’s kids already know what Facebook is, what twitter is and what YouTube is.

The reality is, kids today no longer go to see friends physically, they would much rather Skype and talk over VoIP. They also would much rather use Facebook to keep up with what’s happening, but that fire is dwindling. Facebook is no longer looked at a fun place to be, but rather a must place to be.

It should still be fun. and with the changes Facebook will be rolling out soon, discussed in my previous article, it should appeal more the the younger generation again. Let’s keep Facebook fun and not a forceful place to be.
